How 15 Youngsters Contacted Rabies Virus After Raping A Donkey

Morocco: A group of 15 young boys was reportedly caught a donkey and raped it in return contacted the deadly rabies virus.

The incident which took place in a town known as Sidi, Al  Kamel, in Morocco. The Young boy's age bracket 7 to 15 were sent to Mechraa Belksiri General Hospital in the area.

After series of tests, it was finally confirmed by the doctor the youngster have contacted the deadly rabies virus

However, the youngsters were to remain in the hospital for a proper rabies vaccination to avoid them from spreading the virus to other people in the neighborhood.

The incident left the family members of the youngsters in "distress and horror."

According to a Morocco daily newspaper, it noted that the actual number of infected persons could be a bit higher as many families have embarked on taking their sons to the hospital for medical examination and treatment out of Sidi Al  Kamel region in other to avoid shame.

Information gathered by ngnaija.com has it that the youngsters are to remain in the Mechraa Belksiri General Hospital for at least one week to ensure that the vaccination kills the virus before they would be allowed to return to their various houses.

Also, health authorities in the region have embarked on a crucial search for anyone who has the virus or anyone who has come in contact with the donkey.

The spread of the news has become a thing of mockery and fear to the residents of the area. However, local authorities have ordered the owner of the donkey to kill it in other to avoid further spread of the virus.
