Nnamdi Kanu will be tried on absentia since his whereabout remains unknown -Revealed by A member of the prosecuting team.

- Maxi Nnamdi Kanu was expected to appear before the Abuja High Court on 17 Oct 2017 till now his hide out remain unidentified.


- A member of the prosecuting team who spoked on anonymous said Kanu could be tried in even in his absence

- Kanu is facing a four-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy and treasonable felony

The federal government of Nigeria has planed to try the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) even in his absence as nobody can prove  the whereabout of Maxi Nnamdi Kanu

Since after the Nigeria Army invade the IPOB leader hometown his whereabout remains unknown, meanwhile today being the 17 October 2017, the Nigeria government has expected Kanu to appear before the Abuja High Court alongside his core members whose names are; Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawuisi and Bright Chimezie has been nowhere to found.
Meanwhile, different people has allegedly said that Maxi Nnadi Kanu fled to Malaysia via Cameroon while others said he is in London.


According to Vanguard it was reported that members of the prosecuting team on Kanu's case said the federal government is bent on proceeding with the court case with or without Kanu's presence.

The Nigerian lawyer did not mention his name for security reasons noted that this is not the first time of trying someone even in his absence.
The lawyer said: “It will not be the first time a defendant is tried in absentia. Take the case of a former Niger Delta militant, Mr Tompolo for instance. When he refused to make himself available, FG proceeded to try him in absentia."


However, The Leaderof the Indigenos People of Biafra was granted bail after his five court charges was reduced to 4 by Justice Binta Nyako on Tuesday 25, April
