Auchi Fedpoly shut down academic activities as lecturers joins ASSU strick

The  lecturers from The Federal Polytechnic Auchi has decided to join the ongoing  ASSU strike as a result of the inability of the Federal government of Nigeria to meeting up to the demands of the lecturers a agreed.

Part of the agreement which the FG has failed to implement is that of to implement the NEEDS assessment report and shortfalls in personnel releases and withdrawal of allowances.


According to a source, it was gathered that the lecture alls were all shut  and every activities in the institute were all suspended till further notice.

According to the national president of ASUP, Usman Dutse, he has noted that the trike will not only affect Edo state but the entire nation until the government meet up to the agreement which was reached.

Part-time student were the ones most affected by the strike as regular student has finished the first semester exam and now on holiday.


However, the chairman of the Auchi poly chapter of ASUP, Justin Momodu said the branch acted in compliance with the directive from the headquarters of the union to proceed on the strike.

Momodu also said the strike was not peculiar to the polytechnic as other institutions would join in to force the federal government to honour the mutual agreement.
