The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Anambra state are in preparation for the forthcoming governorship election.
However, this preparation is to ensure free and fare election throughout the polling units across the state.
Information reaching Ngnaija.com has it that the training will commence from Wednesday 11, October 2017.
According To the Director-General of the Electoral Institute, Alhaji Dr Sa'ad Umar Idris noted in a statement he mad during a meeting with his coworkers, he said that the trading will kick off from Wednesday 11 October and will end on 15 November 2017 In the star capital.
Alhaji Dr Sa'ad also noted that the training of Electoral Officers will be in collaboration with the International Foundation For Electoral System.
Narrating further, he said:
"Involving the International Foundation for Electoral System is to ensure that the officers are well equipped on what to do on the election day.
" It will enable the electoral Officers to plan effectively for the success of the election.
"The training will also enable the officer to discharge ad-hoc staff training on pooling and counting procedures effectively.
" Expected benefits from training the AEOs admin and cluster include the conduct of Train of Trainers for participation, to enable them conduct election training at the local Government Areas."
Alhaji Sa'ad hinted that security personnel will also be trained to ensure security at the pooling centres. He stated that the training of security personnel will commence from 25 October to November 1.
