-Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has admitted that Nigeria has a lot of challenges that need immediate attention.
-Jonathan congratulated all Nigerian citizens who mark this great day with joy.
-Jonathans also said that for our nation to defeat the challenges at hand, it requires the support of the Nigerian Youths.
The beloved past Nigeria President and an ambassador of peace, Ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has congratulated every patriotic Nigeria citizen for witnessing this great day (Independence day) with joy.
However, speaking on the challenges facing the nation Nigeria, He noted that it requires the effort of all Nigerians be it small nor great.
Jonathan noted that the challenges facing Nigeria as a nation are not above the citizens if only we can come together with one mind and one voice.

Jonathans urges every Nigerians to remain resilient noting that it will be the most effective method to overcome Nigeria challenge.
''As a nation, we are moving on. On October 1, 2010, we celebrated our Golden Jubilee as an independent nation. Again, in January 2014, we celebrated our centenary as a nation. And today, October 1, 2017, we are celebrating our 57th Independence Aniversary.
''It may be seen as though as we are passing into unsurmountable challenges, but I am very intimately aware the 'can do Nigerian spirit' which will help us surmountable our present challenges.
''You may say tough times are here, but I say to you that tough times don't last, but tough people do last.
''I call on every Nigerians to renew faith with Nigeria as we add another year to our age. we will get better, we will be greater, of that, they can be no doubt.
''I want to use this opportunity to call for togetherness, oneness and accommodation for all. We must accept the fact that none of us is as great as all of us.

He concluded by saying, ''We thank God Almighty for the journey so far. We had challenges, we still have challenges but Nigerian spirit of resilience will carry us on. I congratulate all Nigerians on our 57th Independent anniversary,''.
