- Orabe Philips Leo, the man who has been on the wanted list of the police had been arrested for hitting an American man with a pistol on his head
- The suspect picked the white man from the airport to Ikorodu before carrying out the attack in his residences.
- He told police investigators that Mr Robert Rob Wheelers owed him a huge amount of money which he refuses to pay him as agreed.
The incident took place on August 25, 2017, since then Orabe Philip Leo has been on the run since the police were seriously hunting for him.
When interrogating Orabe Philip Leo, he confessed that Mr Robert Rob owned him some amount of money when he was working in the United States of American at Tony Elumelu Foundation back 2015.
“Orabe Philip Leo picked Mr Robert Rob from the airport and took him to his house located around Adeniyi street ikorodu.
“The same man who took Mr Robert to his house came back at midnight to attack him, thereby injuring him on his head, left him there and ran away.
“The zone received a call and immediately we mobilized our men in the search for Orabe while some of us took Robert Rob to the nearest hospital for treatment." Badmos said this in a statement obtained by Ngnaija.com.
Orabe meet his Waterloo on Sept. 8 he was captured where he was hiding and was taken to the zone for proper interrogation and questioning by Ibrahim Adamu.
However, in the cause of interrogation, Orabe confessed to the police that he hit Mr Robert Rob head three the with the head of his pistol.
His reason was that Robert Rob refused to pay him the amount of money which they agreed on.
He said he had made much effort to get money from the white man and consulted a white garment church where he was given the charm to use on his victim so he would give him his money.
He became angry when the charm did not work.
Ngnaija.com reported that when the incident was first reported, the police under the commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, denied that any American expatriate was attacked in Ikorodu.
According to the police chief, no such incident of an ‘American expatriate’, either kidnapped or attacked, in Ikorodu had been recorded by the state police command, even after the command had conducted a wide search.
The police chief also advised the public to be very careful with what they read or post on social media.
