IMO state:
The owerri central market known as Ekununwa market in IMO state is, as of the time of filling this report under demolition.

However, the demolition plans was carried out by the state governor, Rochas Owelle Okorocha. It was gathered that the plan was to move the market to Umuoriebi in Orlu Local Government Area of IMO state.
The market was dominated mainly by the Igbo's in the state. However, the demolition of the market led to the Igbo's traders to go angry which in turn resulted to the Igbo's setting Ama Hausa market on Fire.
A 10 years old boy was reportedly killed as a result of the market demolition. The boy was hit by a strange bullet allegedly released by a soldier.
