Ben Bruce Predicts Buhari Return from London

The Bayelsa East Senator, Ben Bruce has predicted the date for the return of Nigeria President Muhammad Buhari, noting that despect no official date has been announced for his return but Nigerians should expect him anytime from next week.

President Muhammed Buhari who travels out of Nigeria on the 17 of May 2017 for a medical checkup due to an undisclosed illness has stayed abroad for over three months now. The assistant President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo has since then assumed the office of the acting President till Buhari returns from London.

According to Vanguard Newspaper, it was reported that the Bayel East Senator, Ben Bruce hinted that upon Buhari return to Nigeria there is likely to be a closed door meeting between him and the senate.

Ben Bruce said that when Buhari returns from the medical checkup, he will ask a request from the senate president, Bukola Saraki to permit them to sit close to the president as this is to give them an opportunity to discuss issues related to Nigeria with the President.

Ben Bruce also lamented on the hardship facing the masses in Nigeria and also noting that since Buhari administration Nigeria has made no progress at all.

While addressing issues facing the educational sector, Ben Bruce said that the previous administration did a lousy job and why the Buhari Administration has not been able to change the educational policies raised up by the colonial masters.

Speaking on the Agitation for succession, he said that the Niger-Delta regions are underdeveloped and it is a time bomb waiting for a day it will explode.

"The past administration is to be blamed for the problem facing the Niger-Delta regions, the zone is a time bomb waiting for an explosion. If development is to come into those areas lot of programmes are to be put in place in order to develop those areas."

President Buhari who has been out of the country for barely 3 months now yet no official date set for his return, meanwhile, the Acting President, Osibanjo has continued to assure Nigerians that the President will soon be back to resume his official duties as the President.
