Benue leaders urged their youths not to pay more than N100,000 for pride price

- The elders and leaders of Benue has called on their young men who refused to get married due to the huge a amount of money collected from them in the name of pride price.

According to a report, Chief Sunday Ekele, the leader of Otukpa, the headquarter of ogbodibo Local Government Benue state has called on their young me to go and marry and stop being afraid of marriage due to the expenses involved in it. He also told them not to spend above N100,000 on traditional wedding ceremony.

Chief Sunday Ekele  made this comment after he interviewed some group of young men. He asked them the reasons why some of them who are up to the age of getting married have not married. One among the men replied by saying that it I'd because of the huge amount of money extorted from then all in the name of pride price.
